Lineup is coming in HOT so let’s make some educated guesses, who’s going to be on the 2025 Austin City Limits Music Festival Lineup?
An Austin staple bringing a huge set of artists to town every year is back (AGAIN) and we can’t wait to see the lineup! But who’s on it? We’ll do some digging and bring you some of our best predictions – maybe a little hopeful wishing too. We also know some of the artists that will NOT be showing up at our prized Zilker Park this October.
Given the festival’s history of booking both established and up-and-coming acts, it’s likely that the 2024 lineup will include a mix of genres and artists from various stages of their careers. Historically the fest brings in a known act from a few of the biggest genres, Rock, Hip-Hop, Pop, Folk/Country, and Electronic.
Starting with Rock ‘n Roll, we predict Green Day or The Killers. There’s a few other likely candidates including Arcade Fire, Cage The Elephant, and/or Young the Giant (More of an alternative act but they like to mix ’em up.)
It wouldn’t be ACL Fest without a mainstream Pop act following acts like Dua Lipa and Chappell Roan last year. Fans are hoping for a Sabrina Carpenter or Olivia Rodrigo appearance, doubt we’d get both but that would be great for those who’ve kept up with their lore… Gracie Abrams could plug in here or maybe a boy band like 5 Seconds of Summer. And of course we can hope and pray for a Lana Del Rey or Lorde headline.

We’ve had some big names like Kendrick Lamar for the Hip-Hop or Rap Headliners in the past, this year would be a great fit for rising talent Doechii or old reliable A$AP Rocky. It’s possible they substitute this role with an R&B artist, many fans hopeful to see Anderson.Paak after his brief cameo at SXSW. Very rare possibility of seeing SZA again but T-Pain sounds likely.
For the Country acts it seems pretty likely Shaboozey will be there, Luke Combs is a big maybe with his tight schedule, and Post Malone.. Yes, Post Malone is not traditionally a country artist but he’s been riding the wave lately and may fill in that country headliner role along with some up-and-comers.
The Electronic acts have had a few huge DJ’s but we will always hope for a Tame Impala headline. Likely act would be The Chainsmokers or John Summit.
Its practically locked in we see DJO and Wet Leg! Additional acts we think are possible are Queens of the Stone Age, Role Model, Jamie xx, Julien Baker, Goose, Polo & Pan, Ole 60, Sarah Kinsley, and Matt Champion.
Thanks y’all, see you Tuesday with the lineup release.
