Leander approves small business relief fund

The City of Leander approves a new small business relief fund, offering between $2500 and $5000 in grants to companies with 50 or fewer employees.

Small businesses in Leander are getting some support from the city council.  Mayor Troy Hill said the city has worked hard over the years to create a business-friendly environment, and those companies need to be protected right now.

To qualify, companies must be current on all property and sales tax bills, operate inside the city limits, and be able to demonstrate a direct impact from COVID-19.

Applications are now being accepted for Leander’s COVID-19 Emergency Business Grant.
