This past weekend Post Malone hosted a YouTube live stream fundraiser for the COVID-19 crisis. The Texas artist performed a Nirvana tribute with his virtual band Travis Barker on drums, Brian Lee on bass and Nick Mac on guitar.
Viewers were given the option to donate to COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for WHO throughout the live stream. The donation description box noted that Google.org will be “matching donations at 2:1 rate, up to $5 million.”
The proceeds to the fund will help those on the frontline receive the care and supplies they need to combat coronavirus, including “efforts to develop vaccines, tests, & treatments.” Donations are still being accepted on the live stream replay. Watch below.
