Fleet Foxes haven’t released a new project in years but Robin Pecknold has uncovered a couple covers to hold over the fans. On their bandcamp you can find their version of The Strokes’ “Under Control” and Joni Mitchell’s “Hejira.”

The “Under Control” cover was recorded during Fleet Foxes’ show at Forest Hills Stadium in NY with inspiration from their opening act, Uwade Akhere. Together they sang The Strokes on stage with assistance on horns from The Westerlies. The collaborators also sang their own version of “Hejira” during “The Spring Recital” at The Belasco in Los Angeles in March. The Westerlies perform horns on both, with Uwade, Daniel Rossen, and Greg Pecknold all contributing.
