Central Texas COVID-19 Numbers Continue to Climb

As of Wednesday morning, Austin Public Health is reporting a total of 502 cases of COVID-19 across Austin and Travis County.  Three deaths have also been reported.

Williamson County’s total is now up to 88, with a third death reported on Monday.  However, officials say 34 of those cases have since made full recoveries.

Hays County is reporting 43 active cases out of a total of 59.  No deaths have been reported and only seven people have been hospitalized since the first report was confirmed.

Bastrop County has now reported its first death related to the COVID-19 outbreak.  Officials say an Elgin man in his 50s died recently.  There are 11 cases in Bastrop County, as well as 11 in Caldwell County.

Statewide, 7276 cases and 140 deaths.  157 of Texas’ 254 counties are now reporting infections.
