KGSR Rewind: Watch Some of the Best Live Performances in Austin in 2017

We have been totally spoiled around here. So many of our favorite bands came out to play for KGSR in 2017:  Spoon, Jimmy Eat World, Iron & Wine, Maggie Rogers, Vance Joy, Third Eye Blind, The Revivalists, and the list goes on. Totally, utterly spoiled.

So we wanted to share some of our favorite performances from this past year with you. Honestly, we could put every performance video below because it was such a great year. If you want to check out more performances, check out KGSR's YouTube!

And remember, you can find many of these performances on our benefit CD, KGSR's Broadcasts Vol. 25. The two-disc collection is available in stores now, so click here for all the details!

SXSW

SXSW is a crazy, wonderful time for the folks at KGSR. The fest celebrates new music discovery by bringing new bands and legendary acts to Austin. So we ask dozens of bands to come out and play to a huge room of Austinites early in the morning for our 4-day live broadcast. It's a unique Austin experience, to say the least.

Jimmy Eat World "The Middle"

Maggie Rogers "Alaska"

Spoon "Hot Thoughts" and "I Ain't The One"

Third Eye Blind "Shipboard Cook" and "Jumper"

LOLO "Not Gonna Let You Walk Away"

Hanson "MMMBop"

Lewis Del Mar "Loud(y)"

KGSR's Dell Music Lounge

Remember that Broadcasts CD we mentioned above? Well that CD is made up of so many performances from KGSR's Dell Music Lounge. We usually get at least one band per month to stop by KGSR to play a few songs for a handful of KGSR Insiders. It's always a pretty magical and memorable time.

Iron & Wine

Bleachers

Manchester Orchestra

Austin City Limits Music Festival

Every year, KGSR kicks off Austin City Limits Music Festival with a two-day morning broadcast featuring big names and new names playing the fest. We also get to set up backstage and record more performances before bands hit the stage. Watch some of our favorites below!

Vance Joy "Lay It On Me"

Mondo Cozmo "Shine"

The Revivalists "Wish I Knew You"

Joseph "White Flag"

Lukas Nelson's Cover of Tom Petty's "Breakdown"
