Open Casting Call for '60s UT Football Centric Movie

MY ALL AMERICAN will be filming in the Austin area this May-July. This film chronicles the life of former University of Texas football player Freddie Steinmark and the National Championship Texas team of 1969.

 

**Football experience is an absolute must but you CAN NOT be currently playing high school or college football due to eligibility issues!!**

 

Try outs are this Saturday, April 5th at 9am. Do not be late. Expect to be there for 3 hours or more. They will be held on the football field at Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex, 10211 W Parmer Ln 78717. Wear workout gear and bring grass football cleats.

 

You must be or appear to be college (age 18-­25 years), 6ft+ and over 180lbs. Also searching for one smaller player, 5’10, under 160 lbs with acting experience, to play Freddie Steinmark.

 

The pay rate is $175 for­ rehearsal days and $300 for filming ...

Lead singer and songwriter of the Decemberists, Colin Meloy, is finally wrapping up The Wildwood Chronicles, his bestselling trilogy of fantasy novels for young adults. To celebrate the release of Wildwood Imperium, Colin and his wife (Carson Ellis, who illustrated the series) are on a tour that brings them to Book People tomorrow, February 5th, at 7pm.
