The only thing that we Texans love more than the Lone Star State is food.

The North Austin Trailer Yard (NATY) is hosting a Texan-flavored food competition tomorrow in honor of the upcoming GO TEXAN week. JohnnyT’s BBQ, Snarkys Moo Bawk Oink, Big Fat Greek Gyros, The Dog Pound and The Yogurt Experience will be providing the food...you just need to provide your appetite. From 2:30 - 5:00 p.m. there will be free samples as all the trailers compete for People's Choice. Before then, at 2 p.m., some local judging "professionals" will be selecting their favorites out of the Texan fare.

GO TEXAN is an initiative to promote Texan restaraunts and agriculture businesses and is holding the Restaurant Round-up in celebration of our state's great sense of taste. Make sure to stop by and vote for your favorite dish because all of the creations will be avilable during GO TEXAN week from 7/21 to 7/29, but they could be perusaded to keep those items on the menu permanently.
