This is (hopefully) everything you need to know about all of this "Reflektor" hype that has been burning up the internet.
What is it exactly? "Reflektor" is a new song (and album) from Arcade Fire that everyone seems to be reeeeeally excited about.
Here’s a fancy photo for the song.
And another one. This is a photo of actual street art that promoted the release of this song/album before anyone really knew what was going on. It was a part of a campaign to build-up the hype.
And everyone's pretty sure this is going to be the cover for the album where this song can eventually be found (yes, it's a little excessive, but a lot of people are excited about this, too). The album, by the way, is also called Reflektor and will be out on Oct. 28. You can pre-order the album now.
The band has released not one but TWO music videos for the song "Reflektor."
This is one that you can just watch and enjoy.
And this is one that you can interact with and enjoy. The interactive music video is where all the buzz is centered. Give it a go and see if it's worthy of all the attention. (It's best viewed on Google Chrome, btw).
Did you listen to the song and go, “Hey, that kinda sounds like David Bowie?” That’s because it is. Bowie confirmed on Facebook that he provided some of the backing vocals. Apparently his codename was "The Reflektors."
So now you know everything you need to know about the "Reflektor" hype.
