The Civil Wars' New Single
Taylor Prewitt

As posted earlier, The Civil Wars, ironically citing internal discord like the conflict of their namesake, were on the verge of collapse after the cancellation of their 2012 tour. But as promised by the Vine teaser trail the duo has been leaving, the first single from the pair's second album has been released titled "The One That Got Away".

The track sets a new sound for the duo with a distant electric guitar that still works for the folk rock pair. Joy Williams on vocals laments about a lover that she wishes had "got away". With the success of their debut album -- two Grammys and a collaboration with the even more sucessful T. Swift -- the pair will be hard-pressed to keep up with those achievements after a year of silence.

The self-titled album comes out August 6, but for now you can purchase and listen to "The One That Got Away".
