Photos: Ben Folds Five at Stubb's

Until Tuesday's release of The Sound of the Life of the Mind, it had been over 10 years since the release of a new album from Ben Fold's Five. And thankfully, the wait paid off. The trio reunited on-stage at Stubb's Monday night, to treat fans with equal doses of nostalgia and novelty. They played a non-stop hour and a half long set, with tracks new ("Michael Praytor, Five Years Later," "Draw a Crowd," and single "Do It Anyway") and old ("The Battle of Who Could Care Less," "Missing The War,").

But what ultimately got the crowd completely silent was their rendition of their 1997 hit "Brick." Concertgoers swayed and sang every word to the ballad, before upbeatly chanting along with "Army," the show's closer.
