Last night, we hosted a very special edition of the KGSR Music Lounge, with none other than Patty Griffin. Griffin performed several songs from her upcoming May 7th release, American Kid, before being joined by her boyfriend (the inimitable Robert Plant) on "Ohio," the album's first single. The song’s official music video has already been reworked by Dinosaur Jr. and Blood Orange, and is a grand and sweeping spectacle, but now Phoenix have posted a very different video for “Entertainment,” the first single from their forthcoming Bankrupt! album. In a possible homage to the video’s low-tech status, they use a green screen to put themselves in front of the Palace of Versailles, France’s most enduring symbol of misguided wealth and splendor. Watch it below.
Phoenix's album Bankrupt! drops on April 23 through Glassnote.

Thankfully, the guys took some time out of their busy schedule to treat us to a performance in the KGSR Music Lounge. Enjoy!

Canada's Walk Off the Earth caused quite a buzz in the U.S. courtesy of the band's one guitar cover to Gotye and Kimbra's "Somebody That I Used To Know" last year. Today, the indie/rock quintet released their full-length album R.E.V.O., an acronym for the band's motto, Realize Every Victory Outright. Thanks to the folks at Rolling Stone, you can listen to the album in full.
Walk Off the Earth certainly won over the audience at the KGSR SXSW broadcast performing songs from R.E.V.O. including the popular chanting mantra "Red Hands."
R.E.V.O. features 11 melodic anthems including the title track "R.E.V.O." and a combination of songs from last fall's EP with a handful of new tracks. The album also includes the band's popular cover to "Somebody That I Used To Know," which received an overwhelming 147 million Youtube views and counting.
Join the Walk Off the Earth revolution with R.E.V.O. in stores today!
