Austin never runs short of live music options each week, and we want to give you some of our picks for the best tunes about town. In addition to KGSR's Blues on the Green with The Gourds and Shakey Graves, there's s a slew of options to keep you busy. Enjoy!

7/24 - Antone's 38th Anniversary Bash

The show starts at 6:30 to celebrate the 38th birthday of Austin's Antone's. Celebrate with sounds from Denny Freeman, Emily Gimble, Cindy Cashdollar and Black Cadillac. Check out the full lineup here.

7/25 - Unplugged at the Grove with Max Frost

Fresh off his performance at KGSR's Blues on the Green and his signing with Atlantic Records, Max Frost appears again in Austin with his youthful take on sound. The free live music begins at 8 with $3 Ziegenbock Drafts to keep the listening easy.

7/27 - Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights

This American rock band from Dallas, TX takes the stage at the local Bastrop Brewhouse. Check out the band and brew at 8 this Saturday.

7/27 - Tommy Malone of the Subdudes

Despite a subdued demeanor, Tommy and his dudes released Natural Born Days this past June. Saturday, they take the stage at 10 at Threadgill's to do what they do best -- play guitar.

7/28 - Sublime w/ Rome

Punk out on Sunday funday with everyone's favorite 90s throwback. The band goes on at 8:55 pm at the Backyard in Austin.
