Fun. premiere "Sight of Sun" for Girls soundtrack
Channing Holman

The HBO show Girls begins Jan. 13 and in anticipation for the premiere, the network has released the genre-spanning Girls - Volume 1 soundtrack.

Enjoy tunes from artists like Fleet Foxes and Fun. Speaking of Fun., the 2012 juggernaut (and KGSR Broadcasts vol. 20 artists) lent their original song "Sight of the Sun" to the soundtrack. The song was originally written for Some Nights, the group's first single, but instead was shelfed until now.

Nate Reuss, the group's front man re-wrote the song just for the Girls, "For once there is nothing up my sleeve; Just Some scars from a life that used to trouble me".

Listen to the exclusive Fun. track off the Girls soundtrack and tune in to the season premiere on Jan. 13.
