Charlie Mars is a KGSR favorite, and we couldn't be more pleased that he chose Unplugged at the Grove as one of his locations for his brand-new video for "Let The Meter Run," from his acclaimed album Blackberry Light.

Mars wanted a decidedly stripped-down take with his latest clip. “In an increasingly global and complex world, sometimes its easy to overlook the simple things,” he tells American Songwriter. “When I was a kid, I loved videos with cars, girls, and good times. ‘Let The Meter Run’ was filmed in one of my favorite towns, Austin, Texas, and we drummed up a car, a girl, and a good time, for this one. It’s my love letter to Austin.”
