Join Mayor Lee Leffingwell, the Mayor's Task Force on Aging, and AARP for a discussion about the future of Austin as an age-friendly, walkable Austin. Learn about Austin’s vision for becoming more age-friendly from Mayor Leffingwell. Then hear from national "walkability" expert Dan Burden about the importance of pedestrian-friendly features.
Burden, one of the nation's experts on walkability and livable communities with nearly 40 years of experience, will discuss: How does walkability and livability benefit communities? How does Austin's infrastructure impact the mobility of Texans of all ages and abilities? How can an active, healthy environment be achieved anywhere?
