Bangladeshi Art Show to Benefit Orphans and Schoolchildren in Bangladesh

On Friday, November 2 at 7:00pm For Kids' Sake will be hosting an art show at Dominican Joe Coffee Shop, 515 South Congress Ave. (at Riverside Drive), to benefit orphans and schoolchildren in Bangladesh. The Art Show will feature inspiring art by Bangladeshi children, hand-embroidered textiles by village artists, and Bangladeshi Bollywood movie posters. All items are for sale and will be available through January 4, 2013.
The opening reception on Friday, November 2 at 7:00pm features music by Strumero, including Mark Romero and Kristian Diaz, and hors d'hoeuvres offered by Dos Lunas artisan cheese. You're invited to come and enjoy the gala event, view and buy artwork, and mingle with friends.
For Kids' Sake is an international fundraising program the supports orphanages and schools in Bangladesh. For Kid's Sake volunteers raise money all over the world through a variety of creative efforts including art auctions, run/walk-a-thons, Bangladeshi handcraft sales, personal donations and grants. For Kids' Sake supports six facilities the provide food, clothing, housing, healthcare and education for 550 orphans. These sites also host fully registered schools that educate more than 3500 children from the surrounding villages.
