VALLEJO, ERIC TESSMER BAND HEADLINE
JULY 28 CONCERT TO BENEFIT WITHOUT REGRETS
Two Pair ACL Fest Passes To Be Awarded At Fundraiser For Family Aid Group
Without Regrets, an Austin charity devoted to providing positive memories to families with a gravely ill parent, will host a fundraising concert at 9 p.m. July 28 at Threadgill’s World Headquarters, 301 W. Riverside Drive, featuring Vallejo, the Eric Tessmer Band, the Soldier Thread, Zeale and a Vallejo Music Group artist showcase. 93.7 KLBJ-FM afternoon drive DJ B-DOE will emcee. Doors open at 8:30 p.m.; tickets are $12 in advance and $20 at the door and are available via frontgatetickets.com, at Threadgill’s or at withoutregrets.org.
Two pairs of three-day Austin City Limits Music Festival passes will go to lucky concert goers; 100 percent of all event proceeds will go toward creating special experiences for families with minor children and a terminally ill parent.
“Treatment is hard on the whole family,” says Without Regrets co-founder Ché Heinroth. “Without Regrets helps parents create memories away from the dark reality of hospital visits and diagnoses, to leave a positive impact on a child.” The nonprofit organization provides funding and makes whatever arrangements are necessary to facilitate those memories, from a family portrait to visiting a parent’s hometown.
Without Regrets, co-founded by Heinroth and Tara Ballard, recently celebrated its first anniversary and looks forward to building its presence in Austin. B-DOE will share heartwarming stories of families helped so far. With community support, Without Regrets hopes to give many more families opportunities to create positive memories that last forever.
