Where is the stage located? The stage for Blues on the Green will be on the east end of Zilker Park where Lou Neff Road wraps around (similar to the location of the main ACL stage).
Will food and drinks be sold?
What can I bring? Two factory sealed bottles of water in clear containers, blankets, lawn, chairs, dogs on leashes, children.
What is prohibited? Glass, alcohol, weapons, or Styrofoam. Dogs off leash. Smoking is also prohibited in the park.
Food, water, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available from our food vendors.
Are there ATM’s on site?
There will be two ATM machines available at the North and South ends of the park.
What if it rains?
Like most outdoor events and festivals, KGSR's Blues on the Green is a rain or shine event. Stay tuned to KGSR or join the Blues on the Green text alert club (text "blues" to 29217) and like us at Facebook.com/KGSRBlues
for event updates should the weather become dangerous or the park be unsuitable for events.
Why is the event free?
KGSR's Blues on the Green has always been a free community event. Our event sponsors along with the support of Austin Parks and Recreation make the event possible so please thank them and support their businesses.
How do I get into the VIP section?
Join the Blues on the Green text alert club by texting "blues" to 29217. We will be giving away VIP passes as well as special offers from our restaurants and sponsors throughout the show. You can also join us for a special Blues on the Green happy hour at Shady Grove before each show from 5-7pm to win VIP passes.
Will there be recycling at Blues?
Austin Resource Recovery is providing recycling containers throughout the park during the event.
What materials CAN be recycled?
Plastic containers, aluminum, tin, steel, paper, and cardboard.
Where is Zilker Park? Zilker Park is located at 2100 Barton Spring Road. Zilker Park is on Barton Springs Road, just east of MoPac and half a mile west of Lamar Blvd. Please note that Eastbound traffic and left turns on Stratford Drive are permitted. Click here for a map.
Is there a bus route to Zilker Park? Cap Metro Bus route 30 goes to Zilker Park (Barton Skyway and Spyglass) – the last pick up heading South is 10:11PM and heading north 10:23PM. You can find the route 30 map here and the trip planner here.
Where will bicycle parking be located? Everyone is encouraged to use pedal power — by far the easiest way to get to an event! Bike racks will be located at multiple places throughout the park. Bring your lock. Find out about biking info and off-street trails in Austin and more at austintexas.gov.
Where do I park? There is plenty of parking available in the Zilker Park Polo and Stratford Fields. There may be a small fee for parking. The surrounding streets, including Lou Neff Road, will not be available for public parking.
Overflow parking is available at both the Palmer Event Center and the One Texas Center.
Is there Handicap Parking/Access? Handicap parking is available in all of the adjacent parking lots and handicap ramp access is available into the park. A current placard is required to enter the park via Lou Neff Road. Additional Handicap parking is available at the Zilker Park Polo and Stratford Fields.
Where will motorcycle parking be located? Motorcycle parking will be available by entering via the public parking entrance off the south side of Barton Springs Road (pool side) and veer left to the Pecan Grove area. There will be a small fee to park there. Click here for a map.
