MAY 29, 2013
ALPHA REV

With opening act: Wild Child

Texas-bred quartet, Alpha Rev, is touring in support of their third studio album, "Bloom," which released in March. Casey McPherson, lead vocalist, and his allies – guitarist Zak Loy, drummer Clint Simmons and keyboardist Jeff Bryant – have been soaking in the benefits of being an alternative-rock band based in Austin, since McPherson founded Alpha Rev in 2005. The band released their debut album, “The Greatest Thing I’ve Ever Learned,” in 2007 and their second album, “New Morning,” in 2010. Produced by Grammy Award-winning producer David Kahne, Alpha Rev’s single, “New Morning,” rose to third on the Triple A radio charts.

Wild Child

Another Austin-based band, indie-folk pop band Wild Child is a 2013 Austin Music Award winner for Best Indie Band and Best Folk Band. The group that started out as a duo has grown to be a seven-piece group that can play: ukulele, violin, keyboard, drums, cello, bass and banjo. Wild Child played several shows during SXSW this year, playing at least one show every day.
