1. Where is Zilker Park? Zilker Park is located at 2100 Barton Spring Road. Zilker Park is on Barton Springs Road, just east of MoPac and half a mile west of Lamar Blvd. Please note that Eastbound traffic and left turns on Statford Drive are permitted. Lou Neff Road will be closed to the public beginning at Noon. Click here for a map
2. What can I bring? 2 factory sealed bottles of water in clear containers, blankets, lawn chairs, dogs on leashes, children. Help reduce the amount of waste generated at Blues on the Green by only bringing recyclable, compostable or reusable food and drink containers. Recycling and composting containers will be available for your convenience at the event.
3. Will food and drinks be sold? Yes. Food, water, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available from our food vendors.
4. What is prohibited? Glass, alcohol, weapons, or Styrofoam. Burn ban is in effect, so no grilling, fires, burning of any sort will be allowed.
5. Where do I park? There is plenty of parking available in the dirt lot underneath the Mopac Bridge and across the street near Barton Springs. There may be a small fee for parking. The surrounding streets, including Lou Neff Road, will not be available for public parking.
Overflow parking is available at both the Palmer Event Center and One Texas Center.
6. Is there Handicap Parking/Access? Handicap parking is available in all of the adjacent parking lots and handicap ramp access is available into the park. A current placard is required to enter the park via Lou Neff Road.
7. Where will bicycle parking be located? Bike racks will be located at multiple places throughout the park.
8. Where will motorcycle parking be located? Motorcycle parking will be available by entering via the public parking entrance off the south side of Barton Springs Road (pool side) and veer left to the Pecan Grove area. There will be a small fee to park there.
9. Is there a bus route to Zilker Park? Yes - the following bus routes go to Zilker Park: Route 30. Click here for a Capital Metro route map.
10. What if it rains? Like most outdoor events and festivals, KGSR's Blues on the Green is a rain or shine event. Stay tuned to KGSR or join the Blues on the Green text alert club (text "blues" to 43981) and like us at Facebook.com/KGSRBlues for event updates should the weather become dangerous or the park be unsuitable for events.
11. Why is the event free? KGSR's Blues on the Green has always been a free community event. Our event sponsors along with the support of Austin Parks and Recreation make the event possible so please thank them and support their businesses.
12. How do I get into the VIP section? Join the Blues on the Green text alert club by texting "blues" to 43981. We will be giving away VIP passes as well as special offers from our restaurants and sponsors throughout the show. You can also join us for a special Blues on the Green happy hour at Shady Grove before each show from 5-7pm to win VIP passes.
