Since its origins as a humble little BBQ pit on the side of a lonely Texas country highway in 1967, the Roberts family has been steering The Salt Lick towards its current status as a bona fide culinary legend in these parts - uniquely, as a dining destination experience of which the fine grub is only a part. Some of my favorite memories as a bachelor involve a bunch of buddies, a big cooler of ice cold beer and a road trip to Driftwood, and it was nice to be back there to visit with head meat man Scott Roberts.
