Should "Smunday" Be A Holiday?

The political climate may be right for a petition effort

As the guy who had to bail out of my buddy Geoff's party last night at halftime because I had to work early today, I'm all about the notion that it would be nice to be able to hang late on the evening of the Big Game without blowing up my job. I promise you a lot of no-shows and no-showers at the office today. And, I'm thinking that our current political leaders might be looking to score some brownie points from the unwashed masses lately anyway - so, perhaps this petition to declare the Monday after the Big Game a national holiday could possibly gain some real traction! (Full disclosure, this petition started as a marketing stunt by Heinz Ketchup, but I still think it's a pretty great idea - I'm at work, after all.) Hit the link and sign if you're so inclined - the Advil will kick in any minute.
