Where to Get in the Holiday Spirit Around Austin

As so many of us plan to welcome out of town guest and family members into our homes this week, the question comes up: what's happening in town that everyone can go to?
If you've got someone in your life that cares more about meeting the big guy from the north pole than getting out the shops this weekend, we've got a few suggestions to help.
1. Selfies with Santa | Southpark Meadows Shopping Center
Grab the entire family and head to The Grove, 9500 South IH-35 Frontage Rd., this Friday and Saturday, to take a selfie with Santa. This event is free and open to the public from 12 PM - 3 PM and from 6 PM - 9 PM. All you'll need is your phone to capture the memory.
2. Santa on the Terrace | The Long Center
Santa is heading to the City Terrace at the Long Center this Friday from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Children will be able to take a free picture with Santa and there will be holiday treatsa nd entertainment.
3. Cedar Park Lights | Anna Court
The Anna Court cul-da-sac in Cedar Park will showcase 250,000 holiday lights on Thanksgiving night. The show starts at 5 p.m. and runs seven days a week. You can also bring a new, unwrapped toy with you and donate to Operation Blue Santa and Safe Place.
4. Lights at the Domain | The Domain
The Domain will host a holiday light show and complimentary horse-drawn carriage rides starting Friday from 5PM - 9 PM. Santa will also be waiting while you're there. You can even avoid the line by making an appointment in advance.
