Ice Cream Social & School Supply Drive

Join Trace in benefitting Austin’s SAFE place and the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at this ice cream social and school supply drive! Bring a donation of supplies for an ice-cold sweet treat – options available for vegans and even doggies! Don’t miss this chance to support Austin’s young communities while enjoying delicious treats like coffee ice cream with caramel drizzle and hazelnut crunchies, tamarind popsicles with chili salt, strawberry gelato and much more! Dispatch with Nahko and Medicine for the People
Doors at 6 PM | Stubb’s

Boston-based indie folk/roots band Dispatch is making a stop in Austin this Saturday night for a performance at Stubb’s, with special guests Nahko and Medicine for the People! Tickets are still available online for $46: click here to purchase!

 

Austin Pride Festival & Parade
11 AM | Fiesta Gardens & Congress Avenue   
  
Happy Pride! Come show yours at this inclusive, joyful, hate-free day of fun as we celebrate Austin’s LGBTQ+ communities with an action-packed festival and parade! The fun kicks off at Fiesta Gardens at 11am, with a festival featuring a stacked line-up of acts on two stages, FREE games and carnival rides, Drag Queen Story Time under the Big Tree in the Family Zone, 140+ vendor booths, drinks & food, and more! Then, join us at the Capitol at 8pm for the 2018 Pride Parade! Find all the info you need here.

 

YMCA Splash Bash
1 PM | Townlake YMCA
    
Bring the whole family to this FREE event hosted by the YMCA as they turn their pool into a party with free snacks and treats, giveaways, fun music, a bouncy house and more! Splash Bash is open to the public, including non-members, and takes place this Saturday from 3-5pm. See ya there!

Taste the Rainbow Pride Brunch 
10:30 AM | Trace @ The W  
 
Follow up your Pride celebrations with a rainbow-themed brunch (yas queen!!) at Trace. Enjoy live music and cocktails benefitting the Human Rights Campaign while you munch! Reservations are recommended, make yours here!

 

UMLAUF August Family Day
12 PM | UMLAUF Sculpture Garden & Museum

Finally, bring the whole family out to the beautiful UMLAUF Gardens for a Sunday evening of fun, kid-friendly activities at their August, LBJ-themed Family Day. Activities include Children’s Yoga, Presidential pin-making, a guided tour of the gardens, and story time with the LBJ Library, plus sweet treats from Steel City Pops. This event, as always, is free and open to the public.

 

Martinis and Manicures
2 PM or 6 PM | Paramount Theatre

The Paramount Theatre’s Martinis and Manicures series returns this Sunday afternoon! Catch a screening of Breakfast at Tiffany’s (2 PM) or The Devil Wears Prada (6 PM) with your BFFS as you enjoy complimentary martinis and mini-manicures before the film starts!
