Come celebrate the start of E.A.S.T. with Art Alliance Austin and Big Medium as they host a curated exhibition featuring seven local artists exploring the concept of intersection through emersion and mobility. The event kicks off with a preview reception held at 7 pm, and the party officially starts at 9 pm. If you can't make it Friday night don't worry: the exhibition will be open for free public viewing all weekend long between 11am and 6pm. Tickets can be purcahsed in advance through Eventbrite.
Free Art Friday
All Day | City-Wide
Get out and discover (or hide) cool works of art around town as part of Spratx’s free art scavenger hunt! Every Friday, local artists are invited to donated art pieces of any size, shape, or form and hide them somewhere safe in town, and then post clues online with the hashtag #ATXFreeArtFriday to help community members track them down. Pop Austin International Art Show

Pop Austin is returning to E.A.S.T. again this year to showcase the work of celebrated mulimedia artists from Austin and around the world, inlcuding photography, painting, sculpture, digital art, light art, and everything inbetween. Advance day passes are $20, or $50 for access to the whole weekend. Guest artists and educators will also be giving talks throughout the weekend, so make sure to check out their online schedule for the full weekend rundown.

East Austin Studio Tour (E.A.S.T.) Weekend One
All Day Saturday & Sunday | Over 200 Austin Art Studios
This weekend marks the 16th annual E.A.S.T. festival: a free, self-guided art event where local creatives open up their studios to public viewing across two weekends. This year's tour will include over 500 participating artists all across greater East Austin - visit your neighborhood Austin Public Library location to grab a copy of the 2017 Catalog & Map, or click here to view online.
The Austin Flea
10 AM - 4 PM | Whole Foods at Arbor Trails
November's Second Saturday Flea Market will be hosted at Whole Foods Arbor Trails and feature one-of-a-kind handmade and vintage items from a variety of Austin vendors. Knock out your holiday shopping early this year! The event is free to enter and open to all ages.
Courtney Barnett & Kurt Vile (and the Sea Lice)

The intercontinental alt folk/rock duo is finally taking their debut collaboration Lotta Sea Lice on the road, with a stop in Austin Saturday night at the ACL Live Moody Theater. Tickets are still available!
