We're still waiting for that official release date but at least we've got some new details to hold us over in the meantime. In an interview with Uncut Magazine this week, Father John Misty finally spilled some secrets about his follow up to Pure Comedy.
The yet to be titled album is due out sometime in 2018 and we now know it will feature tracks with some pretty great names, including: "Ouch, I'm Drowning", "Dum Dum Blues", "Mr. Tillman, Please Exit the Lobby", and "Well, We're Only People and There's Nothing Much We Can Do About It". Expect a vibe along the lines of 2015's I Love You, Honeybear but "without the cynicism," Tillman shared, "It's really rooted in something that happened last year that was... well, my life blew up. In short, it's a heartache album".
Stay tuned for more details on his forthcoming release!
