Fader Fort Announces Photo Book Retrospective Chronicling Their Annual Austin Event

There is no other SXSW event that receives more hype each year than the Fader Fort. And thanks to past special guest appearances from artists like Drake, The Killers, Lou Reed, Damon Albarn, Amy Winehouse, and many, many more, getting into the Fader Magazine's annual SXSW showcase these days is no easy task.

To get your hands on one of the week's most highly-coveted wristbands, you'll first have to submit your info as soon as RSVPs open (it typically fills up within minutes). Then, if you're pre-selected as a winner through their raffle system, you'll then have to spend an hour or so in a very long line days before the fest even starts to claim your wristband. But the wristband doesn't guarantee that you'll even get in: if you want to secure your ability to make it on the other side of those tall, white walls, you'll have to camp out for hours to get in before the event reaches capacity, or else you'll be spending the day in the standby line, hoping that enough people leave throughout the day so that you can make it in.

For most SXSW attendees, that just isn't feasible. So to cure the overwhelming FOMO felt by all of us not quite dedicated enough to attend, Fader is now releasing Setting the Stage, a hard-cover book commemorating 15 years of the iconic event through a collection of stunning behind-the-scenes photos.

The 252-page book is currently available for pre-order on shop.thefader.com, and is scheduled to ship on or before March 1st of this year.
