KGSR SXSW Morning Broadcast Wednesday Preview: Swimming With Bears and More!

In preparation for KGSR's Live Morning Broadcast at SXSW, we're here to get you in-the-know with music from some up-and-coming artists from each morning.  Check out these featured artists playing Wednesday morning, March 15th.

Full lineup here: KGSR SXSW LIVE MORNING BROADCAST AT SXSW

Or you can listen to the full KGSR SXSW Live Morning Broadcast playlist on Spotify!

6 AM - SWIMMING WITH BEARS "Shiver & Crawl"

We're kicking off the broadcast this year with one of our new favorite Austin bands.  Swimming with Bears played for KGSR during HAAM Benefit Day, and now they're back at W Austin!   Perhaps you've heard this song on KGSR?  They've been on our playlist for quite a while now!

7:30 AM VALERIE JUNE "Astral Plane"

Valerie June was just in Austin a couple of weeks ago to play a packed house at The Paramount; and she won our hearts with this her unique mix of folk and Americana.  There's no mistaking her voice - and we can't wait to hear it live on KGSR!

8:30A John Paul White "The Martyr"

John Paul White reached fame as one-half of The Civil Wars, with Joy Williams.  In 2016, John Paul White released his solo record Beulah, and since then - I've been hooked.  I was lucky enough to see him play at Antone's this past January - and it was one of the most beautiful, quiet, intricate shows I've ever seen.
