Welles Performs Unreleased Track "Seventeen"
Raised in a hippie community in Ozark, 22-year old Jeh-sea Wells discovered his passion for writing poetry and music very early in life, filling up notebooks with stories and ideas since he was as young as twelve. When his big music dreams began to outgrow his rural Arkansas lifestyle, he packed his suitcase and guitar and moved to the big city of Nashville to turn that passion into a career.
Since moving to Tennessee last year Wells has recruited a full band with whom he has recorded and released his debut EP with as Welles, titled Codeine. Blending influences from 70's psych-rock, contemporary alternative rock and garage, Codeine is jam-packed with catchy guitar leads and Wells' remarkable, gravely vocals that will stick in your head for days.
Jeh-sea Wells stopped by our ACL morning broadcast for a solo acoustic performance of some of his new tracks, including the yet-to-be-released "Seventeen" which you can check out the live footage of below.
