On May 21, The Dave Matthews Band will play the Austin360 Amphitheater. But before they hit town, they've announced their plan to help with the relief work happening up the road in West, Texas. The Bama Works Fund of Dave Matthews Band has awarded a $100,000 grant to the West, Texas Disaster Relief Efforts Fund. The fund is the clearinghouse for charitable donations for victims and relief efforts following April's fertilizer plant explosion.

According to the band's website, The Bama Works Fund of Dave Matthews Band is administered by the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation. Established in 1999, the Bama Works Fund supports charitable programs primarily in the Charlottesville, VA area but has also responded to a wide variety of needs both nationally and internationally. The fund has made over 800 grants totaling more than $15 million since its inception.

The Dave Matthews Band will play three Texas shows: The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands May 17th, The Gexa Energy Pavilion in Dallas on the 18th and Austin on the 21st.
