SXSW Film has announced a double dose of Green Day. Under the festival’s “24 Beats Per Second” banner – which focuses on music-related films an emphasis on documentary-  Green Day-related films scored two slots. First up is ¡Cuatro!, the film companion  to their album trilogy (¡Uno!¡Dos! and  ¡Tré!). Also on tap is Broadway Idiot,  which promises a behind-the-curtain look at  American Idiot’s run on Broadway and “Green Day lead singer, Billie Joe Armstrong, as he ventures into the strange new world of Broadway.”

Will Green Day play SXSW to support the films? No word yet.

And a side note: “24 Beats Per Second” will also feature the premiere of All The Labor, a behind-the-scenes look at one of Austin’s favorite bands , The Gourds,
