The Lone Bellow

Austin Ventures 10/6 Sunday from 3:45-4:30 and 10/13 Sunday from 3:45-4:30 PM

The Southern folk pop group started with a diner gig in Brooklyn in 2010. Before long, they were opening for The Civil Wars and recording their debut album, the self-titled "The Lone Bellow." Though the lyrics have a melancholic undercurrent, the tracks are more often rave-ups than ruminations, with three-part harmonies and rousing group choruses. This is especially evident on the electric guitar-driven ìThe One You Shouldíve Let Goî and ìGreen Eyes and A Heart of Gold,î a we-will-survive anthem.
