At TexasMonthl.com, you'll find the interview and a series of photos featuring Nelson with a series of signs created by the Austin-based design agency Helms Workshop and printed by Austin's East End Ink. The first is a straightforward reproduction of the pink equal sign—the logo of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender advocacy group the Human Rights Campaign—that has gone viral on Facebook and Twitter over the past few days. Helms also designed two Willie-specific variations on the image, one with his trademark braids and another with a pair of marijuana cigarettes. Both images are available for download at TexasMonthly.com to use as avatars on your Facebook or Twitter account.

That seems to be his plan year in and out at our morning broadcasts. And it works without fail. This year, he offered up sing-along versions of "How I Roll" and "Listen To The Darkside."

Maybe you couldn't make it? Maybe you were there and want to relive it? Maybe you just really love one of these bands.
We'll begin our look back with one of our Saturday morning acts, Dawes. I saw them perform a personal-record-breaking seven times during SXSW 2013. And their performances for KGSR started with what is perhaps my favorite Dawes song of the moment- "Something In Common." That song will appear on their new record, Stories Don't End. It's out April 9.
Thanks to our friends at Polycom for the shooting and posting the videos.
